ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Create Breathe and Be is a whole school wellbeing program, delivered to all year levels from Kindergarten to Year 12. Each session integrates three interconnected elements into a single supportive routine: breath and movement to centre and calm the body, drama and performance to foster confidence and connection and music to inspire creativity and conclude on an upbeat note. The program effortlessly fits within the current PDHPE, wellbeing, and pastoral care periods rather than sitting outside of the school day, supporting goals that align with schools and families, in both education and individual student wellbeing.

Content and pacing are scaled to developmental stages, from playful, sensory sessions for younger children through to more reflective, skill-building sessions for teenagers navigating the pressures of adolescence. Every student, has regular opportunities to express themselves artistically, learn to regulate their emotions and reestablish relationships with their peers throughout the Create Breathe and Be sessions.

Create Breathe and Be fosters an environment where children are free to be themselves, in a safe and accepting space allowing their growth and individuality to be nurtured. The program’s creator and facilitator, Megan Halliday, draws from her twenty years of teaching experience as well as her genuine, firsthand understanding of the tools to equip young people with to achieve a healthy and supported school experience.
